Peperino Malta

I had the pleasure of dining at Peperino Pizza & Cucina Verace, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The restaurant has a warm, inviting atmosphere, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. I ordered the Salsiccia e Friarielli pizza, and it was simply divine. The combination of provola, sausage, and friarielli was perfectly balanced, with each ingredient bringing its own authentic flavour. The dough was light, airy, and had that perfect Neapolitan-style char that you can only get from a proper wood-fired oven. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients, staying true to traditional Italian recipes. To accompany my meal, I had sparkling water, which was refreshingly crisp and complemented the food well. While it may seem like a small detail, it’s always nice when a restaurant pays attention to even the simplest things. I also took some photos and videos of both the restaurant and the food, and they don’t even do justice to how good everything looked in person. Whether you’re after a casual lunch or a proper Italian dinner, Peperino Pizza & Cucina Verace is a must-visit. If you love authentic Italian cuisine, look no further – this place is the real deal. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely be back!

With a great variety of pizzas and a thoughtful selection of dough options, Peperino definitely stands out from your average pizzeria. One of the things that really makes it unique is the customizable dough selection. You can choose from Verace, 9 Cereals, Nero/Black (Vegetable Charcoal Dough), 100% Whole Wheat, or Gluten-Free - a rare and welcome flexibility for guests with dietary preferences or those looking for different textures. They also offer a range of meat and pasta dishes, but I haven’t tried those yet - mainly because the pizza’s just been too good to pass up! The quality of the ingredients is immediately noticeable - even before you take a bite. Everything looks fresh, vibrant, and carefully selected, which speaks volumes about the kitchen’s standards. If you’ve got room for dessert, the menu has a good variety, but the highlights are definitely the traditional Italian ones: Cassata Siciliana, Pastiera Napoletana, and Tiramisu. For me, the Tiramisu is the standout - balanced, creamy, and satisfying without being overly sweet. Service-wise, everything runs smoothly. The staff are friendly, know their stuff, and are happy to help out with recommendations. I asked about the different dough options, and they were super helpful and informative. Peperino offers an experience that’s both comforting and refreshingly unique. If you’re a true pizza purist, it’s a must-visit!

Had a great experience at Pepperino Malta in Mercury! The place has a warm, welcoming vibe with really attentive staff who make you feel at home from the moment you walk in. I ordered one of their pizzas and was honestly blown away — the dough was perfectly crisp, the toppings were super fresh, and you can tell they really care about quality. It’s not just pizza either — the whole menu looks solid, and everything coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. As someone who works right nearby at Plan B Barbershop, it’s great having a reliable spot like this so close. Whether it’s for a quick lunch break or a chill dinner after work, Pepperino has definitely become a go-to for me. The consistency, quality, and relaxed atmosphere make it stand out in the area. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re around Mercury or passing through.

I have to admit that this place is very nice. The service is very polite and the waitress and Manager very attentive. Pizza is the best in Malta in my opinion and it is always a pleasure to visit this place. It makes me feel at ease and cuddle from all the staff. No umbrella outside unfortunately makes it not enjoyable at lunch time but inside there are enough tables to sit. I visited many times and it should be better with some more decoration outside as at night could be even better. very good job to all the staff.

Lovely lunch with relatives. Went there mid week around 13:00.. took a variety of food .. pasta ( starter size ) , pizzas ( one gluten free ) and the special mixed sea food platter . Waitress was welcoming … like the rest of the staff .

We had lunch at Peperino in Malta and tried the Pulcinella pizza — fantastico. The dough had a light, airy texture thanks to being fermented for at least 48 hours, and the toppings were fresh and well-balanced. Good service, friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. Definitely worth a stop if you’re craving proper pizza made in the Napolitano way.
